Tips for Dating a Successful Man
Throughout my entire life many women and friends have always asked "how do you always seem to find the good ones" " find the most attractive and successful men?" I've dated Billionaires, Millionaires, and even a Boxing Middle Weight Champ. Simple...
Rule #1 Be successful yourself. To find successful men you must be in that circle, and you're not going to get there by working at Walmart. (Sorry ladies) Even though that may sound harsh with the current economy, most successful men want a woman that can take care of herself. It's kind of game in some ways...play smart. You have to act like you don't need them. If they offer gifts, refuse the first few months, as hard as it may seem, you want to set the precident high. You need them to know and truly feel that you're not using them for their money, because the first time they even suspect you're a gold digger...it's over. DO NOT accept any form of gift or money until you're in a committed , monogamous relationship.
Rule #2 DO NOT have sex with him right away. That goes for any relationship, but most important when dealing with men of a higher financial status. They get it thrown at them left and right from every gold digging hooker on the planet ;) in hopes of becoming pregnant and being set for the rest of their lives, so don't be THAT girl. You want to be something different , something special. Giving up the goods too early is going to get you nothing but a phone call at 3 a.m. and a slap on the ass in the morning while you're leaving his penthouse. No matter how difficult it is, refrain from having sex for at least 90 days ( YES 90! ) or until you are in a serious, monogamous, committed, relationship and heading for the alter. I know it sounds like an ancient way of looking at sex and dating, but that shit still works like a gem.
Rule #3 DO NOT be the "needy" girl! Most successful men work many hours. My love is a very successful Neurologist, and he works 100+ hours per week. He barely has time to sleep let alone text me 20 times a day about what kind of shoes to buy at Saks. Give him a break. He will get back to you when he has time. Save the drama for your mama. The second you pull the dramatic, needy girlfriend bit...start packing, because you, and those amazing shoes you just bought at Saks will be waiting for you outside the door. Like I said almost ALL successful men work long hours and be that woman he can enjoy having around, not the burden.
Rule #4 Your appearance is VERY important. As vain and somewhat sexist as that may sound, it is VERY important. Name the last time you saw a rich, famous, or successful man dating a woman in an Aeropostale sweatshirt, jeans, and Converse sneakers??? I'm waiting. Educate yourself on fashion and beauty, look chic and classy at all times. They eat that girly girl shit up. Know your makeup (MAC, Nars, Dior, YSL, Chanel, etc.) Know your fashion! If you can't afford those brands then a little black dress from anywhere will do, but ALWAYS look beautiful and classy. Your everyday PINK sweatpants aren't going to cut it...dress like a sexy, sophisticated woman, not like a tacky teen on her way to gym class. Workout, keep in shape and take care of yourself! Be someone your man can be proud of.
Rule #5 Be INTELLIGENT! Be well spoken and well mannered. Many woman lack this today. Don't come off as a ditzy valley girl or a girl chugging down Bud Lights at a Blake Shelton concert. You are going to be around many of his colleagues and clients that have money and many will be highly educated. They are the top of the food chain so don't act like the bottom. Don't embarrass yourself or him. Who's wants to sound like an uneducated, hillbilly anyways??? Learn some manners and etiquette. This isn't Pretty Woman.
Rule #6 Be the woman that takes care of your man. Most of us get so wrapped up in the "Independent Woman" mindset that we forget that a relationship is 50/50. Do nice things for him and take care of him and I promise it will pay off in the end. He works hard and baking him some cookies a couple times a week won't hurt. Even though we can afford to eat anywhere or have a chef come to our house to cook, I ALWAYS cook dinner for him. I'm very motherly and absolutely LOVE taking care of him. It also gives you the upper hand ;) How can he say no to a woman that has a wonderful meal and cupcakes waiting for him when he gets home??? Successful men often lack and miss having that sense of normality in their life. It's business all day long, everyday. Give him love and a warm home environment to come home to. Yes, maids, chefs, and nannies are all good, but successful men what the reassurance that you can take care of him all by yourself. He will appreciate you for it. This is the difference between the marrying kind and the one night stands. When getting into a relationship with a successful man he wants to know you're going to be a good wife and mother. Just like any other relationship, there will come a day where you are most likely going to stay home and take care of your children and husband and he needs to know you can do that. While being that Louboutin wearing, Celine carrying supermodel-esque fierce bitch is wonderful and it will get his attention initially, that's not who he's going to marry. He wants a life partner and wonderful woman to raise his family and you must meet those requirements. After a long day of seeing clients and doing business there's nothing better than coming home, eating a cooked meal and kicking up your feet and cuddling with your woman on the couch. Be THAT woman! Not the "honey let's order out sushi for the 3rd time this week" type of gal.
Rule #7 (which is VERY important) LEARN HIS CULTURE!!! I have dated a few successful men and let's be honest here...most successful and educated men in America are not American! Many come from different countries and different cultures. Indians and Asians make up the majority of successful physicians. Wall Street is made up of many Jewish men and if you're getting into oil and gas...many are middle eastern. If you're dating a man of success and they are from another country, it's a must, that you become accustomed to their culture and their lifestyle. My man is from India and at first I had to learn so many things from his culture. From religion, entertainment, food, and everything in between. It took a long time to get used to, but in order to make our relationship work I had to. Yes you can make little changes and tweaks, but just know when going into it, at first, you have to learn as much as you can about their culture. American men are somewhat easy going and are kind of " go with the flow" type of men. While foreign men are very strict about their culture. You must adapt and educate yourself as much as possible. You have to be very open and come to the realization that if you do marry and have children with this man, most likely, your children are going to be brought up with the same customs and religious views. Many foreign men will have you meet their family and get their approval before getting into a serious relationship or marrying you. (and not too many foreign mothers are fond of American women, so be prepared for a long road ahead) Stay strong and stand your ground, because at the end of the day love conquers all and they will see that.
SOOOOOOO....... Here are some of my tips on dating a successful man. Many will disagree. Be prepared to be put in the "gold digger" category because for some reason today, everyone thinks that if you date a successful man you're automatically a "gold digger." Be ready for some serious challenges, but it will all pay off in the end. Good Luck!
